Real Men Apparel Company was founded by Jared and Jill Mortensen in Wichita, Kansas, in 2021. Jared originated all of the RMAC designs based on his study of thousands of underwear products from around the world and incorporating advanced design principles paired with high-quality, dynamic materials. He has taken his decades of experience working in finance, operations, design, and supply chain in aerospace (Boeing, Spirit AeroSystems, Textron), chemicals (Koch Industries), and pet products (Cosmic Pet, Petmate) to bring revolutionary new underwear products to men that finally fit their unique bodies.

The Real Men team has now grown to include additional team members in Kansas (including 2 of the 7 Mortensen sons), North Carolina, Bolivia, and the Philippines.
